About me

Charlotte Anne Dore has been a member of American Actors Equity for over 10 years and has been acting all her life. Throughout this time she has played roles as diverse as a singing cow to Cecily Cardew (Importance of Being Earnest). Her favorite (non- touring) stage shows have been "Hobson's choice" and "Godspell". She has worked for award winning companies like "Underground Railway Theatre" and the "Lyric Stage" in Boston. 2012 she performed at Stoneham Theatre in "I Capture the Castle"

Charlotte founded a new singing/theatrical group with Becki Dennis in 2010 called "STILETTO SINGERS" check out www.stilettosingers.com.

Charlotte is also a puppeteer and founded Rosalita's Puppets in 1993. check out www.rosalitaspuppets.com. Since then she has been performing her original brand of marionette shows at birthday parties, festivals,libraries, museums and theatres. In 2009 Charlotte was hired as a dayplayer puppeteer for the Kevin James movie " Zookeeper".Charlotte had the chance to work with an animatronic gorilla and Oscar winner Tom Woodruff..

Charlotte has been involved in a variety of museum theatre projects including Boston's Museum of Science where she worked for 8 years. Charlotte worked for "Urban Improv" a theatre group working with Boston's inner city schools. In January 2001 she appeared on WGBH in the teen show "Re-Action" this show won a Boston Emmy. Charlotte's performance in the national tv series "We Shall Remain" that first aired April 2009 can be seen on line at the at the web site www.pbs.org/weshallremain. Charlotte played the role of Elizabeth Hopkins in episode one " After the Mayflower" and states "It was really fun to learn the dialect from that time. I only filmed one day but it was really cool to pluck chickens and dress in the old fashioned clothes and be part of such a fabulous project".

Charlotte is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and AFTRA and has worked as a background artist on numerous movies and tv projects including "Shutter Island" directed by Martin Scorcesse. She has also been a stand in and photo double for kids on movie sets including most recently Adam Sandler's movie "Grown Ups".

When not performing in educational theatre, Charlotte is busy entertaining adults in corporate and public murder mysteries and theme events with "Teambonding ". For the last 5 years Charlotte played Nana in the hit show "The Mobfather" a show she created with the cast using improvisation and vaudevillian schtick for Mystery cafe. Currently she plays Celeste in "Mobfellas" running at Ricardo's restraunt in Boston's North End see great comedy and eat a great meal.Check out www.mysterycafe.com
